Accreditation is granted by the Australian Association of Social Workers and recognises advanced clinical skills and ongoing professional development.

AMHSW is one of four allied health profession that is recognised by Medicare to provide Focused-Psychological therapy for a range of mental health concerns.
AMHSW provides counselling for psychosocial issues that don't require a diagnosis as well as with people provided with diagnosis by either a GP, Psychiatrist, Paediatrician or a Clinical Psychologist at an earlier stage.
What if I'm not sure therapy will help?
It's common to feel uncertain. Therapy can begin by clarifying what's happening and whether this approach is likely to be useful for you. You could reach out and just ask to schedule a single session for review and meet the practitioner before deciding on a long-term pathway.
